East Surrey Scouts
East Surrey District Scouts offers a vibrant and engaging scouting experience for young people aged 4 to 25 in the eastern Surrey area, bordering London, Kent, and East and West Sussex. We are proud to be part of the UK’s biggest mixed youth organization, providing fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, and everyday adventures that help make a positive impact in our communities.

Overview:
East Surrey Scouts consists of numerous young people supported by dedicated adult volunteers. Our District Commissioner, Amanda Doran, and her team ensure that scouting in East Surrey remains a cornerstone of the community, fostering development and growth in young people.

Scouting Sections:
- Squirrels (Ages 4-5): Our youngest members engage in fun activities that promote social skills and early adventure.
- Beavers (Ages 6-8): Exploratory activities and teamwork help Beavers discover the world around them.
- Cubs (Ages 8-10½): Cubs enjoy a variety of activities that promote curiosity and independence, including camping and community service.
- Scouts (Ages 10½-14): Scouts take on more challenging activities, learning leadership and resilience through expeditions and community projects.
- Explorers (Ages 14-18): Explorers enjoy a high level of autonomy, tackling significant challenges and leadership roles.
- Network (Ages 18-25): Network members continue their scouting journey with a focus on personal development and community involvement.
District Team
The District Leadership Team leads and inspires volunteers to give young people great experiences and skills for life. They ensure their teams are organised, have enough volunteers, and deliver a great program.
District Executive
The District Executive is a board of trustees responsible for the proper running of the Scout District and acts as the regulator for Scout groups within the District, ensuring compliance and support.
Youth Team
This team leads the district youth, shapes strategy, and chairs the youth forum. They work as part of the District Leadership Team and commission projects and initiatives to drive youth engagement.
