This team lead the district youth shape strategy and chair the youth forum. They work as part of the District Leadership Team but also commission projects and initiatives of their own.
Youth Commissioners
The District Youth Commissioners provide young people in the district a voice at a senior level. Ensuring that 6 – 25 year olds are involved and engaged in every decision that shapes their Scouting experience.
Youth Shape Team
The team is made up of Explorer Scouts and Network Members who want to roll up their sleeves and work on youth led projects in East Surrey. The team is led by the District Youth Commissioners, and they work in partnership with the District Team. Through the Youth Forum, the Youth Shape Team are empowered to commission projects and initiatives of their own
Youth Shaped Team
The Youth Shape Team comprises 14-25-year-olds working alongside the District Youth Lead to achieve several key objectives:
- Promote Youth Shaped Scouting: Encourage sections and groups to actively involve young people in decision-making processes at all levels.
- Provide Peer Support: Assist fellow young people throughout their scouting journey.
- Engage in Local Projects: Offer opportunities for young people to participate in projects that enhance local Scouting, allowing them to develop and showcase various skills and competencies.
- Promote Scouting Opportunities: Highlight various initiatives such as YouShape, 365 Steps of Wellbeing, and the Chief/Queen Scout Awards.

Youth Forum
The Youth Forum is a sub-committee of the District Trustee Board. It is responsible for representing the entire youth membership within the District and ensuring that all young people have a voice at an influential level.
